I am Jason Zerbe, a digital contractor located in Woodbury, Minnesota. I write epic code: desktop applications, systems management tools, database interfaces, web apps, social games, and much more.
I pick up concepts/ideas/languages quite quickly as my previous co-workers will attest to. The following is a list of some of the more mainstream languages/environments I work with/in:
- XHTML/CSS website design, basic Javascript, HTML emails [7 years]
- server administration - including but not limited to: openvz and vmware virtualization technologies, web/email/file server engines, storage topologies, and server clustering [6.5 years]
- PHP/MySQL dynamic content development [6.5 years]
- Advanced Javascript voodoo: Ajax, jQuery, Web 2.0 goodies, eyecatching widgets [3.25 years]
- Python - specifically used in Google App Engine in conjunction with django, some server administration scripts, and used in mod_python web apps [3 years]
- Social APIs - Facebook, MySpace/OpenSocial application development, OAuth Federated logins [2.5 years]
- Java applet/desktop application work [2.5 years]
- C++ - simple command line/GUI windows apps, a little cross platform experimentation [2 years]
- Flash animations and user interfaces [2 years]
- Perl - specifically used in large multi-system administration tasks of LDAP, MySQL, Cyrus, and data warehousing activities. also used extensively in Mason web framework. [1.2 years]
